The Baeckeoffe is one of the cornerstones of Alsatian cuisine. This hearty and aromatic dish simmers slowly in its broth with white wine. Nowadays, there is hardly a good 'Winstub' in Alsace that doesn't serve this flavorful traditional dish
Usage advice:Â
Pour the contents of the jar into a stoneware dish and reheat in a conventional oven for 30 minutes at 200°C. Baeckeoffe is a complete dish. Serve very hot with a green salad.
